Onyx purinity, gold shiness and Piaget watchmaking expertise in a single creation
Description
Piaget's reputation in watchmaking is second to none. Referred to as the “jeweller of watchmaking”, Piaget embodies creativity and reliability.
This timepiece is as unique in its octagonal gold case as it is pleasant and light to wear. Associated with an elegant black leather strap closed by a gold buckle, the set signed Piaget. The onyx dial offers a very nice density to this Piaget 9341 and contrasts beautifully with the yellow gold. A watch, a jewel or maybe both?
How to wear it?
This Piaget 9341 watch, which combines gold and onyx, is elegant and precious. It would go better with a dressy outfit. Perfect for your evenings, it brings an immediate touch of originality and class on the wrist. One thing is certain: it will not stay unnoticed. It's up to you to break the codes by wearing it with jeans !
Why did Françoise choose it?
With its ultra thin movement and stone dial, this watch shows where Piaget excels. It illustrates that at Piaget no compromise is ever made: all cases are in precious metals while each stone dial shows a unique pattern. The thinness of 9p movement is not only mechanically impressive, it further enables the elegant dimensions of this reference. An easy choice for us given its style and importance
History
Between the end of the 1950s and the end of the 1970s, Piaget style reached its peak. A highly creative period where gold, the only material used for watches from 1957, and colors harmonized. The dial becomes the main element of creation, the one towards which all eyes must be directed. Thus, the hard stone imposes itself, letting vibrate its lively palette of colors, its shades, its reflections, its personality: lapis-lazuli, jade, tiger's eye, coral, turquoise, onyx, opal, etc. A palette of bright and nuanced colors. Watches with clean lines letting the color do the talking. Jewelery watches qualified as “haute-couture creations” ( Journal de Genève , April 15, 1970).
