Must, a welcome twist on the legendary Tank
Description
Taking up the stylistic characteristics of its predecessor, the Tank Must presents a bold new look within a gold-plated silver case. Original and sober with its black lacquer dial, it can be an alternative to the classic dial of the Tank Louis Cartier. It is the embodiment of La Maison Cartier's chic and creativity.
How to wear it
This little lacquered Tank is so understated and elegant that you can wear it however you like! ! Choosing a colorful dial (with caution, as there is already a lot of contrast between the case and the dial) could make it more assertive. On this one, Françoise played the sobriety card to the fullest.
Why did Françoise choose it?
Whether monochrome or adorned with geometric patterns, with or without indexes, small or large, you will always find a Tank Must that fits your personality. With its silver-gilt case, it offers a cheaper but beautiful alternative to the Tank. Boldness and elegance in one model.
History
The first Tank, known as the Normale, was conceived in 1917. In 1922, it gave way to the Tank Louis Cartier, whose design remains unchanged to this day. Through its Must line, Cartier aims to revisit the codes of luxury by offering more accessible pieces, similar to Van Cleef & Arpels and its Boutique line. It wasn't until 1976 that the Tank Must was introduced as the first silver-gilt watch for the Maison. Its colourful dials hark back to the Tank Louis and gives it a bold twist !
