Four: perfect harmony?
Description
Beautiful Boucheron Quatre Classique medium model ring composed of a yellow gold fluted band, a simple smooth rose gold band, a white gold diamond-paved band, and a brown PVD "Clou de Paris" band. Four bands available in four patterns, four materials, and four textures.
Current new price: €8,000
The textures of each ring reflect the symbolic lines of the Boucheron house: the Clou de Paris, the Grosgrain, the mirror setting and the Double Godron. The Grosgrain would illustrate the origins of Frédéric Boucheron whose parents were drapers; the Clou de Paris, nail heads evoking the Parisian cobblestones and recalling that Boucheron was the first Parisian jeweler to set up shop on Place Vendôme; the Double Godron, a technique known as "the chimney", which was created in 1889 by Frédéric Boucheron to assemble different gold bands; the mirror setting which would allow the person wearing the ring to see the reflections of their life.
Why did Françoise choose it?
Françoise has already shown her particular interest in the watch models of the Maison Boucheron, both for the Reflet and for La Carrée. Two models that take up jewelry motifs on their case and, sometimes, on the bracelet. This Quatre ring, besides being one of the flagship pieces of the Boucheron collections, brings together in itself a combination of techniques as well as the evocation of the different motifs evoking the historical creations and the very essence of the Maison. It is harmonious and perfectly dresses the hand. A ring that can be worn without constraint, according to the seasons and the desires. Another advantage of this model: the possibility of combining it with any other jewelry or watch, whether gold or silver.
History
Boucheron is one of those jewellery houses that Françoise feels has been unfairly forgotten. Founded by Frédéric Boucheron in 1893, the jewellery house was the first to set up shop on the Place Vendôme. Since then, there have been four generations of direct descendants. Boucheron was a forerunner in many areas of watchmaking and jewellery, offering pieces that rivalled each other in technical innovation, avant-garde design and creativity.
The Quatre collection was added to the Boucheron collections in 2004. It has continued to grow and develop over the years.
