Let yourself be led by the Calandre

Description

The Cartier Calandre incorporates all the characteristics of Cartier: a gold case, a white dial, a railway-shaped minute scale, blue hands and a winding crown adorned with a sapphire cabochon.

However, this Calandre model is far from classic. This is a very rare model, presented here with a three gold case, so emblematic of Cartier: yellow gold for the bezel, pink gold for the horizontal attachment of the bracelet and white gold to connect the two. The original curved glass contributes greatly to the charm of this room.

An extremely comfortable watch, both in terms of its dimensions and its quartz movement. Thanks to its white dial, it can be combined with the strap color of your choice, according to taste and the seasons. The three golds also allow you to wear all types of jewelry, both gold and silver.

Why did Françoise choose it?

The world of Maison Cartier is rich in extremely unique watch pieces, designs that stand out from the ordinary, a watch that you don't expect. The Cartier Calandre is exactly one of these pieces. Françoise, who had spotted it and been looking for it for a long time, is delighted to finally be able to present it in her selection. A version that is all the rarer as it is equipped with the three typical golds.

A Cartier which, once again, perfectly combines elegance, refinement, originality and timelessness.

History

The history of the Cartier Calandre is quite mysterious. The design was born in the 1930s, inspired by the grille of a car, possibly a vintage Bugatti. Indeed, in addition to the similar design, Cartier created a Calandre watch whose dial bore the initials of Ettore Bugatti instead of the Cartier signature.

The watch may also be called Cartier Étrier or Cloche, but several sources officially designate it under the name Calandre.

Authentication

Every piece undergoes a two-step expert review before joining our selection.

Françoise and her team, collectors and horology enthusiasts for many years, examine it first.

Our partner watchmakers, with whom we work closely, then carry out the technical authentication.

Condition

Our photographs are true to life: taken in-house with a macro lens, they capture every detail of a piece with precision — including marks or scratches that may be less visible to the naked eye.

We never retouch a watch's condition; only the brightness of the photograph may be adjusted.

Serial numbers are removed from photographs to protect the authenticity of each piece.

Shipping

Worldwide shipping and insurance are offered for each item upon receipt of payment.

Any customs duties and local taxes, which vary depending on the country of destination, remain your responsibility.

In Paris, hand-delivery is possible by appointment, once funds have been received.

Return and refund policy

Despite photos and descriptions that we hope are as accurate as possible, we know that the relationship with a piece of jewelry, a watch, is above all physical.

That's why we offer a 14-day return period, no questions asked, with a refund within 5 days of receiving the watch.

However, the watch must be in an aesthetic and mechanical condition similar to when it was sent.
