Description
It would be "just another Ellipse", Françoise would already be delighted to present it to you! The Ellipse is one of the watches that crowned Cartier as the king of montres de formes (shaped watches). And yet, it is a case that we see little, and which has not been very produced! But the excitement doesn't stop there! It is an even rarer edition of the Ellipse that Françoise offers you here. This model is equipped with an original rare 18-carat gold bracelet with patterns. A precious watch.
All the Cartier DNA is present, as much by the white lacquered dial with Roman numerals and blued hands as by the almost round case. The dimensions of the latter give it a lot of charm. Unlike the Ellipse model with its round dial, this one will stretch out on your wrist and follow its lines.
Why did Françoise choose it?
Because she couldn't let her pass! Françoise had already seen this rather rare variant of the Ellipse, and wanted to present it to you for a long time! Although the design of the Ellipse dates back to 1970s, she is also particularly pleased with the comfort and simplicity of this quartz watch. If Françoise loves this watch so much, it's because it alone sums up the Cartier philosophy: drawing a line from the past to the present, keeping elegance as the ultimate goal.
History
The 1970s were the starting point for a major watchmaking turn at Cartier. This included the Must line, of course, but also the dusting off of many case shapes designed (and in some cases marketed) since the turn of the century. This Ellipse model, which comes in a variety of shapes and sizes, is a perfect example of the company's desire to revive its historic designs.
