Do we still need to introduce the Cartier Panthère? Cartier has always been a watchmaker of shape and design. The audacious (crazy?) challenge of combining a very square case with rounded edges and small, long links could only have been taken up by the House. The gamble paid off handsomely, and has been adopted in solid gold, gold and steel, steel, pavé, large size, small size...

This is perhaps the most classic version: the small model in yellow gold and stainless steel on a two-row gold bracelet. A watch in very nice condition with its perfectly polished bracelet. The watch comes with its box, its pouch and its Cartier service documents dating from March 2024.

The dial is also the purest, like the first Panthère to be sold, with no date window. This small version is definitely feminine (compared to the classic size seen on both men's and women's wrists), but even more pleasant to wear than its big sister (is that possible?).

How to wear it?

Watches with integrated bracelets are and will always be sporty to the eye.

The strength of the Panthère lies in its sharp yet rounded lines that reduce the purely sporty impression. The fine and articulated bracelet with gold links also plays a role in making this Panthère ultimately elegant.

History

The Panthère watch was launched in the festive spirit of the 1980s, when Michèle Kaouni was the Director of Creation at the Maison Cartier. It takes its name from the bracelet: both supple and streamlined, it evokes the way the feline moves, with all its roundness, elegance, and sensuality. At Cartier, the evocation of the panther through its coat is part of its identity. The spotted pattern first appeared on another ladies' wristwatch in 1914, in onyx and diamonds.

From its release, it was adopted by a large and eclectic crowd: Madonna, Keith Richards, Margaret Thatcher. Why not you?
