Here we have a new example, neither completely round nor completely square. Cartier has managed to keep the geometric aspect and the codes of the Santos, while combining a round case with an octagonal bezel.

We find the 18-carat yellow gold insert nailed to a steel case that made the Santos so successful in the 1980s. For this all-geometric model, Cartier plays on symmetry by distributing the nails at the corners of the insert.

This is a version of the Santos with an automatic movement, a second hand and a date window at 3 o'clock: practical and comfortable.
