A round steel case from Cartier?

Description

Cartier is known for those watches with dials in geometric shapes, square, rectangular, octagonal, oval, etc. The simple circle then seems to disappear from the collections. However, the Ronde de Cartier was one of the first models offered by Cartier at the end of the 1930s, admittedly in small series.

The Ronde de Cartier, as it is proposed, is characterized by its timelessness. It is a classic watch with a sober, elegant and refined design. On this model, the dial is particularly readable, harmonious and well proportioned, always faithful to the codes of the Cartier House: Roman numeral indexes, sword-shaped hands, railway-shaped minute scale. The second hand on this model adds that little satisfaction of seeing the watch moving on the dial.

The comfort of this model is not negligible, as much by its 36mm case and its steel bracelet as by its automatic movement.

Why did Françoise choose it?

Elegant, timeless, unisex, versatile: these are the main reasons why Françoise completely trusts the Ronde de Cartier.

A style that allows this model to be worn anywhere and with any outfit, particularly because its steel bracelet, with a sportier appearance, can easily be replaced by a more casual leather strap. The advantage of being able to personalize your watch according to your desires and your tastes! A classic watch in its sobriety but modern in its style and lines.

With these 36mm, the Solo Ronde is a perfectly unisex watch, harmonious on both a female and a male wrist.

This Solo offered by Françoise is accompanied by its box, warranty card and Cartier invoices.

History

The “Ronde Louis Cartier”, the original, was born around 1937. It was then a model produced in very limited quantities and which was not intended to be marketed.

It was at the beginning of the 1980s that the Ronde de Cartier was marketed on a large scale. A collection that has evolved over the years, notably offering dial variations. During the 2000s, the Maison Cartier expanded its range by offering different case sizes, materials and complications for its historic model.

A collection found at Cartier with models ranging from the most simple to the most complex.

Authentication

Every piece undergoes a two-step expert review before joining our selection.

Françoise and her team, collectors and horology enthusiasts for many years, examine it first.

Our partner watchmakers, with whom we work closely, then carry out the technical authentication.

Condition

Our photographs are true to life: taken in-house with a macro lens, they capture every detail of a piece with precision — including marks or scratches that may be less visible to the naked eye.

We never retouch a watch's condition; only the brightness of the photograph may be adjusted.

Serial numbers are removed from photographs to protect the authenticity of each piece.

Shipping

Worldwide shipping and insurance are offered for each item upon receipt of payment.

Any customs duties and local taxes, which vary depending on the country of destination, remain your responsibility.

In Paris, hand-delivery is possible by appointment, once funds have been received.

Return and refund policy

Despite photos and descriptions that we hope are as accurate as possible, we know that the relationship with a piece of jewelry, a watch, is above all physical.

That's why we offer a 14-day return period, no questions asked, with a refund within 5 days of receiving the watch.

However, the watch must be in an aesthetic and mechanical condition similar to when it was sent.
