More curved, more elongated: unquestionably more sensual

Description

Faithful to the style of its predecessor, this Tank Américaine Lady reference 1710, retains the iconic codes: gold case, brancards, railway-track minute scale, blued hands and a winding crown topped with a sapphire cabochon, while introducing a few variations that define its own personality. With its elongated lines and curved silhouette, it hugs the wrist beautifully, making it almost imperceptible. A well-known Tank, yet one that remains far from commonplace. The yellow gold adds a precious radiance and pairs wonderfully with its green leather Cartier strap.

How to wear it?

Elegant, refined and chic, the Tank Américaine can be worn on any occasion, day or night. From evening dress to jeans, it is always the perfect choice. A watch that adapts effortlessly to every outfit!

The green leather strap softens the watch’s “precious” feel and suits it beautifully. It pairs particularly well with yellow gold.

Why did Françoise choose it?

How could Françoise not offer such a beautiful model? The Tank Américaine never goes unnoticed, not because of an imposing size, but thanks to its refined elegance, which gives it remarkable presence on the wrist. A timeless model with undeniable allure.

History

After launching the Tank Normale in 1917, the Maison of the panther introduced a new model four years later: the Tank Cintrée. It featured a more dynamic line, a curved case, and a shape designed to follow the wrist’s contour, while retaining the defining characteristics of its predecessor, including the sapphire cabochon, a nod to Cartier’s jewellery roots. Over the decades, the Tank has undergone numerous variations. The Tank Américaine was born in 1989. Inspired by the profile of the Tank Cintrée, its design became narrower, more elongated, more arched, and slightly thicker.

Authentication

Every piece undergoes a two-step expert review before joining our selection.

Françoise and her team, collectors and horology enthusiasts for many years, examine it first.

Our partner watchmakers, with whom we work closely, then carry out the technical authentication.

Condition

Our photographs are true to life: taken in-house with a macro lens, they capture every detail of a piece with precision — including marks or scratches that may be less visible to the naked eye.

We never retouch a watch's condition; only the brightness of the photograph may be adjusted.

Serial numbers are removed from photographs to protect the authenticity of each piece.

Shipping

Worldwide shipping and insurance are offered for each item upon receipt of payment.

Any customs duties and local taxes, which vary depending on the country of destination, remain your responsibility.

In Paris, hand-delivery is possible by appointment, once funds have been received.

Return and refund policy

Despite photos and descriptions that we hope are as accurate as possible, we know that the relationship with a piece of jewelry, a watch, is above all physical.

That's why we offer a 14-day return period, no questions asked, with a refund within 5 days of receiving the watch.

However, the watch must be in an aesthetic and mechanical condition similar to when it was sent.
