Iconic watch and mini size
Description
All the codes of the Tank Louis Cartier are set and yet this model stands out from the ordinary. First of all by its Mini version whose dimensions make it a discreet, elegant and dressy watch. A real jewel on the wrist with its slender and fine lines that hug the lines of your wrist. It is practical and very comfortable. Elegance is also marked by a refined pearly white dial on which only the Roman numerals XII and VI appear, alongside stylised black enamelled hour-markers and blackened steel sword hands.
Also, this is an 18k rose gold Tank, which is much less common. A softer, less stark color than yellow gold, more subtle, and which generally blends very well with skin tones.
Finally, the strap of this watch is what makes it so charming. Three red leather straps delicately assembled by a Cartier clasp in rose gold. For a more understated look, the watch also comes with a black calfskin strap and an unsigned pin buckle.
Why did Françoise choose it?
Françoise loves all types of Tank, whether they are classic, set, in yellow gold, white gold, or even in a mini rose gold version like this one. It is a watch that we can only recommend, especially in rose gold, a less common material on the wrist compared to white gold and especially yellow gold. Its strap also contributes to the originality of the model, although it can also be replaced by a classic leather in the future.
We would almost forget it on our wrist if it were not so essential, both from a historical and stylistic point of view. A watch that will never lose its value. A piece that combines technique and aesthetics: functionality, elegance and prowess are essential. The Tank "was brilliantly created to remain eternally contemporary". That is why we have complete confidence in it.
This Tank Louis Cartier is truly perfect in all circumstances. A watch that is a pleasure to wear and look at. It is particularly suitable for everyday life, perfect for work as well as in the evening because it can be both casual and elegant.
History
It was in 1917 that the Tank watch, known as Tank Normale, appeared; in honor of the heroes of the First World War, its design is inspired by the first tanks. Five years later, the Tank Louis Cartier was designed, a model very similar to the first, but with a more elongated dial and thinner, rounded shafts. Several generations follow one another, retaining the same identity codes while adapting to new watchmaking technologies such as quartz. Many celebrities adopt it such as Jackie Kennedy, Lady Diana, Alain Delon, Catherine Deneuve, Yves Saint-Laurent, Gary Cooper, Johnny Hallyday or Sophia Coppola to name but a few. Will you be next?

Our partner watchmakers, with whom we work closely, then carry out the technical authentication.
Condition
Condition
Our photographs are true to life: taken in-house with a macro lens, they capture every detail of a piece with precision — including marks or scratches that may be less visible to the naked eye.
We never retouch a watch's condition; only the brightness of the photograph may be adjusted.
Serial numbers are removed from photographs to protect the authenticity of each piece.
