Cartier Tank Must: same but different
Description
Roman numerals on a white dial with a touch of anthracite : here is another version of the Tank Must. If this version takes up the stylistic characteristics of its elder sister (the classic Tank Louis), it nevertheless manages to assert a new bolder design. Though its bolder look, you also get the perfect often-imitated-never-egalled Cartier look that the Tank introduced in 1917. On a black or coloured strap, this Must will be the perfect ally for any outfit !
The folding clasp, also in vermeil, is a significant comfort asset.
Why did Françoise choose her?
Tank Must has always been a big favorite of Françoise. She loves these elegant watches with that subtle little touch that sets them apart from classic Tanks. Whether monochrome or embellished with geometric patterns, with or without indexes, small or large, you will always find a Tank Must that matches your personality.
This one, rarely seen, is particularly interesting for the association between anthracite and white on the dial. The dial is also a bit simpler than classic Tank dials, since it doesn't bear alln the numerals.
History
The first Tank, known as Normale, designed in 1917, gave way, in 1922, to the Tank Louis Cartier, whose design remains unchanged. Through its Must line, Cartier intends to revisit the codes of luxury by offering more accessible pieces, like Van Cleef & Arpels and its Boutique . It was not until 1976 that the Tank Must was presented, as the first gold plated watch for La Maison, then available in a wide variety of dials. It's a beautiful and bold nod to its older sister : the more austere Tank Louis.
