A Cartier classic that is anything but conventional.

Description

The Vendôme is a great classic from Cartier! The very round, almost uninterrupted case recalls the simplest watch shape. The strap, attached to the case by thin horizontal links, seems to barely hold the watch in place. The dial, of course, features Cartier's iconic design elements: a white background, Roman numerals, and a railway track minute track. And so, with a classic watch, Cartier once again demonstrates the originality of which the Maison is capable. The use of the three-gold alloy, representing the three cardinal values and already featured in the Trinity collection, adds an extra touch of originality: rose gold for love, yellow gold for fidelity, and white gold, symbolizing friendship.

Why did Françoise choose it?

Françoise has great confidence in the Vendôme, which she often recommends to her clients. Like the square of the same name, the Cartier Vendôme evokes luxury and subtlety with understated elegance. The Vendôme also allows her to offer a round-dial model, which is relatively rare at Cartier, a brand known for its uniquely shaped watches. Françoise loves the Trinity collection, both for what it represents and its history, and for the reflections it brings to a piece of jewelry.

With its 30 mm diameter, this watch will look equally elegant on a woman's or man's wrist.

History

As early as 1934, Louis Cartier patented a new way of attaching leather straps: a horizontal bar on each side inserted into a central loop attached to the case. The Trinity collection, featuring a combination of white, yellow, and rose gold to represent the three cardinal values according to Louis Cartier (fidelity, love, and friendship), was first introduced in jewelry in 1924 before being extended to other collections from the House.

The Cartier Vendôme was created around 1973 as a tribute to the Parisian square of the same name, a meeting place for jewelers and watchmakers. The two links are said to evoke the two streets leading to the Place Vendôme: Rue de la Paix and Rue de Castiglione.

Authentication

Every piece undergoes a two-step expert review before joining our selection.

Françoise and her team, collectors and horology enthusiasts for many years, examine it first.

Our partner watchmakers, with whom we work closely, then carry out the technical authentication.

Condition

Our photographs are true to life: taken in-house with a macro lens, they capture every detail of a piece with precision — including marks or scratches that may be less visible to the naked eye.

We never retouch a watch's condition; only the brightness of the photograph may be adjusted.

Serial numbers are removed from photographs to protect the authenticity of each piece.

Shipping

Worldwide shipping and insurance are offered for each item upon receipt of payment.

Any customs duties and local taxes, which vary depending on the country of destination, remain your responsibility.

In Paris, hand-delivery is possible by appointment, once funds have been received.

Return and refund policy

Despite photos and descriptions that we hope are as accurate as possible, we know that the relationship with a piece of jewelry, a watch, is above all physical.

That's why we offer a 14-day return period, no questions asked, with a refund within 5 days of receiving the watch.

However, the watch must be in an aesthetic and mechanical condition similar to when it was sent.
