History

This watch followed the Chanel Première, launched by the Maison in 1987, the first watch imagined and created exclusively for women by Gabrielle Chanel.

Pearls are one of Gabrielle Chanel’s most cherished emblems. Since the Second World War, she wore them at all times, notably her famous long pearl necklaces seen in her portraits. It is therefore no surprise to find a watch collection named “Mademoiselle,” in homage to Coco, with certain models adorned with rows of pearls.
