Mini size, great timelessness

Description

A discreet, elegant, and timeless watch? This Chopard watch in 18-carat yellow gold is a perfect example.

A watch that has lost none of its charm over the years. Its refined, patinated dial is uniquely signed Chopard Genève and equipped with "dauphine" hands, accentuating the refinement of the watch.

The case is mounted on a black alligator leather strap with its original gold-plated buckle. The watch is equipped with a quartz movement.

Two specific features make this watch unique. First of all, what was quite common from the 60s to the 90s, the presence of the initials "L.U.C." engraved on the crown (sometimes on the dial and/or the movement). This is a tribute to Louis-Ulysse Chopard, founder of Chopard. This underlines the heritage of the Maison. Finally, the touching presence of a dedication: " Hans - 20.6.90 ". A birthday, a birth, a wedding? It will remain a mystery!

Why did Françoise choose it?

Françoise loves discreet and elegant pieces, the ones you don't see on everyone's wrist and that are unfairly forgotten! This Chopard watch is the perfect compromise between a watch and a piece of jewelry: a refined piece of watchmaking that can be worn daily. Its clean lines give it a timeless look that will complement any style.

History

Founded in 1860 in Sonvilier, in Switzerland, by Louis-Ulysse Chopard, the Maison Chopard has been dedicated to the creation of precision watches from the very beginning. From the very beginning, Chopard sometimes used the initials "L.U.C." to mark its watches, a direct reference to its founder and the identity of the Maison. Over the decades, Chopard built an international reputation before being acquired in 1963 by the Scheufele family, thus becoming a Maison of High Jewelry and Watchmaking.

From the 1970s onwards, iconic collections such as Happy Diamonds emerged. In 1996, Chopard took a significant step forward with the creation of its Fleurier factory. This gave rise to the L.U.C. line, dedicated to Haute Horlogerie mechanical movements.

Today, Chopard is recognized as much for its jewelry pieces as for its manufactured movements, combining tradition and technical innovation.

Authentication

Every piece undergoes a two-step expert review before joining our selection.

Françoise and her team, collectors and horology enthusiasts for many years, examine it first.

Our partner watchmakers, with whom we work closely, then carry out the technical authentication.

Condition

Our photographs are true to life: taken in-house with a macro lens, they capture every detail of a piece with precision — including marks or scratches that may be less visible to the naked eye.

We never retouch a watch's condition; only the brightness of the photograph may be adjusted.

Serial numbers are removed from photographs to protect the authenticity of each piece.

Shipping

Worldwide shipping and insurance are offered for each item upon receipt of payment.

Any customs duties and local taxes, which vary depending on the country of destination, remain your responsibility.

In Paris, hand-delivery is possible by appointment, once funds have been received.

Return and refund policy

Despite photos and descriptions that we hope are as accurate as possible, we know that the relationship with a piece of jewelry, a watch, is above all physical.

That's why we offer a 14-day return period, no questions asked, with a refund within 5 days of receiving the watch.

However, the watch must be in an aesthetic and mechanical condition similar to when it was sent.
