History

The name Air King originates from the exploits of British pilots during the Second World War; in their honour, Rolex launched a collection that was both sporty and reliable. Reference 5500 cemented the success of the line, remaining in production for 37 consecutive years, as it defined what a Rolex should be: practical, automatic and waterproof, and effortlessly beautiful, with classic dials. Reference 14010 is a worthy heir to the 5500, a discreet icon that helped make Rolex the king of watchmakers, with a bezel that boldly asserts its independence.
