History
Tudor is Rolex’s sister brand: it offers exactly the same quality, without compromise. It is therefore not surprising that Tudor had launched its version of the legendary Rolex Submariner only a year earlier in 1953. However, unlike Rolex, Tudor offered a feminine version of the Submariner, aptly naming it the “Mini Sub” and giving it some very interesting stylistic features. At 33mm, the Mini Sub is perfectly proportioned for a woman’s wrist, with water resistance to 100m and reassuring robustness. Although the Mini Sub was never a best-seller like the Submariner, it is an interesting choice that is now experiencing a resurgence of interest due to its intrinsic qualities.
